Selling Your Motorcycle Could Be A Big Mistake - The Bikes I Regret Letting Go
Most of us have been there. When we have to sell a motorcycle either for financial reasons, or we just have to get rid of one to get another. Sometimes you sell a bike and regret doing it. You’re not alone. I’ve done it several times. So here’s my video about regret when saying goodbye to your bike..

Got a 2022 model, didn't buy it under the illusion i was buying some sort of mx or enduro bike, bought it fully understanding what it is and as far as I'm concerned it's fantastic and i love riding it as it is and have never felt the need to make any changes to it at all. Good honest review.

I think vehicles see bikes more than people think because..cars just blend in with other cars but a smaller object catches the eye. Kinda like seeing a dog or animal in the road and definitely would spot a turtle quickly

It doesn't matter what factory brand it is to me. All stock bikes are just a starting point to strip and chop. That's the American way in my opinion. Ever seen a Ducati motor in a rigid chopper frame with fatbobs and a mile high sissy bar bent out of round stock? 😎 Choppers for Life.

Thanks for the video. I'm only 5'7" and I test rode a softail standard today and felt really cramped. Legs were bent too much and my knees felt too high. I'm thinking about forward controls. I was wondering what your height and inseam measurements are. I don't know if I'd have difficulty reaching the forwards. I'm 5'7" with a 29" inseam. Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated. thanks

78 years am I. Riding my Honda 50 Sport, a string of piglets following the sow crossed in front of me ...... couldn't miss 'em all, hit one and went down with my new two week old 1/2 helmet kachining on the asphalt. Replaced the front fork and at 16 just kept on riding. (they came from behind a fence so I do not take blame for that one) At 18, on my '65 Honda 305 Super Hawk, making a right turn into rush hour traffic onto freshly rained on old slick pavement, of course the back end fishtailed and I went down in front of a school bus. Only minor damage but it was my fault being in traffic after a new rain. On my CX500 Deluxe I missed a corner on gravel and flew into an irrigation ditch. Had to dry myself out and have the Honda gone through. My fault. I had a 175 Kawasaki enduro and a 225 Yamaha XT. Down on each of those more than once ..... they were Dirt Bikes? At present I have the old urge to ride once again. Hoping that past events have taught me a bit, I have on order a '24 Kymco CV3. I admit that I have some trouble with balance, the eyes have some effect of aging, and I don't hear so good. I do not know how I got the wife's permission, but she used to ride in the Phillipines. She is younger by twenty years and I think she is already thinking about the joy of riding. She found a used helmet at a garage sale, so that's a sign. The CV3, as you may know is a front wheeled tricycle for balance, has a CVT as one less thing to think about and reviews say they have very good brakes and handling. I have not spun a tire on pavement for fifty years. I drove truck for 30 years with a motto of "pay attention, pay attention and PAY ATTENTION." I take that with me as good signs for safe riding ahead.

First, you’re a grown ass man and you did not get an estimate in writing for work on scotty, the bike. The dealer should have the exact pricing on part replacement since it is their part and their bike and their mechanics. So you should’ve known the price within a couple of dollars. So pay attention and ask questions before you assume anything. Especially price on anything done at a dealer. 2nd. to be clear you bought a Harley Davidson, which stands for pay out the ass. That motorcycle is a status. It has nothing to do with two wheel enjoyment so get over yourself. Pay your bills and shut your mouth.😊

Get it but wonder what it is that you “pre-paid”. Are you referring to the Extended service contract? If so, this really isn’t prepaying for service, but rather extended warranty. Name is a bit misleading

I have a Royal Enfield, but my local dealer is mainly HD. They dropped my bike, broke my mirrors. Jacked me around about ordering new ones for 3 months, only to find out they were never ordered. They offered me a $100 gift card as an apology over the phone, but when I got there I was told, "well they shouldn't have offered that, we can't do that." Just a horrible experience all around, ill never buy from a Harley dealership again.

Being part of the "brotherhood" isn't cheap these days ... dealers have become fat-dumb-n-happy with all the lawyers and doctors who buy one so they can LARP with other lawyers and doctors - only after they buy $2K worth of branded jackets, boots, gloves, chaps - the whole nine. Funny how a fad that grew out of some WWII vets with PTSD riding war surplus Harley's around a campfire became part of a rich man's identity over the course of 70 years. I love the machines (and the torque) - but the scene? Yeh - not so much. There are other choices for the V-twin experience if you don't need to belong to club of some of the most selfish, encourageable individuals I've ever met. You go to one of their bars and oooooooo you happen to be wearing a helmet - you don't even get served 'cause the waitress has to prioritize the "royalty". Sorry but that's just been my experience after riding around on an old bike from another brand.

Screw them! Buy me a case of beer and I’ll change your oil. It takes 20 minutes for all bikes. I hate the dealerships too, but I love the bikes. When they try to stuff the extended warranty down my throat, I always tell them to give me a service manual and just to void my warranty before I leave the dealership, I am my own warranty. They hate that and try to guilt trip me telling me that I’m being irresponsible like it’s a living horse. Get your hands dirty, you’ll fall in love with your bike. I now know how to do my own oil changes, handlebar and exhaust swaps, tire changes, ect. Thing is, Harley’s are easy to tinker on. Just get the service manual and a torque wrench. Find a good dyno shop too.

I just got my bike back from guess when ? LAST AUGUST. I was also stranded 9 Hrs. along the woods in the Canadian Nth. But that's another story . So why and what happened so I was told was my Ignition solenoid went and took out all my lights and a my battery as well as some other things. Final price - $3200 but wait that's not all . I asked them to fix my front fork seals due to leaking since it was in the shop . Then just before I get it back I found a cheaper Ins. Co. that demanded a fresh safety . I thought ok should just be some simple paperwork since all the work was done. Nope - Turns out I needed a new rear tire which by the way was only two yrs. old. Anyway total cost $4285 . Oh and one more thing - since the bike sat so long it rides like crap. Which means I probally need a Gas/air filter and plugs. Aditive did not help. The Bike - a 2000 F.B.

And that is why I ride old Harley's. Not a dealership in the country will work on my 32 year old Ultra Classic. But I got a guy. When he put tires on at the beginning of the season, I called him on Wednesday and he said bringing it in Friday and he might have it Saturday or Sunday. I told him I was planning a trip for Saturday, his response, "Bring it in the morning and I have it for you Friday." Made my Saturday trip fo sho. Shout out to Bill at True Customs in Lapeer Michigan.
